College Grants Participants must hold a PhD in Sociology or a related discipline, which is not more than three years at the date of the end application.

The MRC Career Development Award Graduate International Scholarship


Graduate International Scholarship Applicants must have a PhD or DPhil and have at least three to six years' post-doctoral experience at the time of the application deadline, although applications with more than six years post-doctoral experience will also be considered in exceptional circumstances. The application of existing research fellow MRC and post-doctoral researchers returning from abroad are very welcome. Applicants who hold an MSc research oriented and has done graduate work right at least four years of research - such as in medical statistics - may be considered.
As with all MRC scholarship, this award is not available to the people who hold tenured academic positions at the time of application. If you hold a tenured position, you can ask for funding under one of the MRC's grant schemes.

Technical University of Denmark Graduate International Scholarships


The Graduate International Scholarships subject of the PhD project must be within one of the main research areas of the department:

Cleanroom based micro- and nanofabrication
Polymer micro- and nanoengineering
Synthesis and self assembly of nanostructures
Lab-on-a-chip technology

Miniaturised sensor and energy technology

Qualifications

Graduate International Scholarships Candidates should have (or soon obtain) a master’s degree in engineering or a similar degree with an equivalent academic level. Candidates may apply prior to ob tai ning their master’s degree, but cannot begin the PhD education before having received the grade.

To apply for these Graduate International Scholarships candidates must have an agreement with a supervisor at DTU Nanotech about a specified project. Therefore, for a candidate to be considered for the scholarships, endorsement and project description must be enclosed. See under “Application”.

Approval and Enrolment

The Graduate International Scholarships are subject to academic approval and the candi dates will be enrolled in one of the PhD programmes at DTU. For information about the general requirements for enrolment and the general planning of the scholarship studies, please see the DTU PhD Guide.
